Tickets Already on Sale for Boca’s 10-Day Performing Arts Festival and Famous Speakers

If you think Boca Raton is a cultural desert, think again. Opera, ballet, jazz, salsa and talks by famous people are back on stage for the 19^th season of Festival of the Arts BOCA.    

Since 2025 is also the city’s centennial year, the Festival theme is “Back in Time.” Traditionally the Festival shows a classic movie with a live orchestra and this year it’s “Back to the Future.” 

All the performances, and speakers like presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, are held in the city’s Mizner Park Amphitheater, covered for this occasion and with theater seating.

Here’s the specifics on performances and talks:

• Dallas Brass, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28, from classical to Broadway, from Dixieland to swing. Before the show there’s an instrument “petting zoo” for kids.

• Pavarotti Voices Opera Gala, 7:30 p.m. March 1, new stars of opera bring their favorite arias and duets in this collaboration with Opera Naples.  

• Latin flutist Nestor Torres returns to perform “A NeoDance Story,” 7 p.m. March 2, that blends salsa with the tango.

• An Evening with Doris Kearns Goodwin, 7 p.m. March 3, as the presidential scholar and TV commentator shares her new memoir “An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s.

• “Life in the Doghouse,” 7 p.m. March 4, an inspiring documentary on the importance of animal rescue.

• “Florida Man: Carl Hiaasen,” 7 p.m. March 5, the famous humorist and storyteller’s novel insights.

• “How to Avoid Conflict,” 7 p.m. March 6, Amy Herman shares her problem-solving expertise.

• “Back to the Future with Live Orchestra,” 7:30 March 7, classic movie with symphony orchestra. 

• An Evening of Contemporary Ballet, 7:30 March 8, classical ballet, modern dance and contemporary works featuring former principal dancers from renowned companies and local students. 

• Boca Raton Centennial Celebration, 7 p.m. March 9, the Festival’s closing concert featuring Festival Boca Jazz Orchestra.
