If you’re already a player or want to learn how to play when you get here, pickleball courts are everywhere in South Florida and it’s not just because of the weather. Wherever you move, pickleball courts and competitive leagues are proliferating.
Both new construction and existing gated 55+ active adult and family inclusive developments have added pickleball courts and instruction to their recreational amenities.
Even exclusive residential country clubs have pickleball now. For instance, Boca West Country Club offers residents organized play, daily open play, group matches, tournaments, a club championship, exhibitions and clinics.
If you’re moving into a development that’s not gated, you can still pickleball to your heart’s content. Cities and towns have public pickleball courts, mostly in parks and recreation centers, with low-cost memberships and court reservations.
The city of Boca Raton offers adult and junior lessons, clinics and open play at outdoor courts in two parks and indoor courts in another park. Patch Reef Tennis Center Pickleball Courts
Boca’s Greater Beach & Park District just approved a $16 million public center with indoor and outdoor courts and other amenities in their new North Park.
Palm Beach Gardens even has a Tennis & Pickleball Center.

Commercial pickleball facilities are everywhere, too, and compete with public pickleball by offering restaurants and ways to keep other family members busy while you play.
