National Park & Recreation Month Ramps Up Activities in Boca

You’ll find plenty to do in both the city of Boca Raton and Palm Beach County’s park in suburban west Boca the whole month of July.

“We’re excited to celebrate this year’s theme: Build Together, Play Together,” Boca’s Recreation Services. From fitness and wellness programs to outdoor adventures and cultural events, our department offers something for everyone — and this month, we’ve planned a variety of special activities for all ages to enjoy,” is the city’s message.

• Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: Deep Water Fitness at Meadows Park Pool, Swim Lessons at both Meadows Park Pool and The Swim Center
• Saturdays: Zumba at the Beach at South Beach Pavilion
• Sundays: artNEST: Messy Play – A Family Art Day at Swim & Racquet Community Center
• July 11: Santana/Steve Miller Band Tribute free “Summer in the City” concert in Mizner Park Amphitheater
• July 12: “The 3 Little Circus Pigs,” July 13, Con Brio String Quartet, Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park
• July 14 – Aug. 28: Sea turtle hatchling releases advance tickets, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
• July 18:  Love Song/The Cure Tribute Band free “Summer in the City” concert in Mizner Park Amphitheater
• July 25: Women of Country, free “Summer in the City” concert at Mizner Park Amphitheater
• July 30: Trivia Night at Boca Raton Public Library Downtown

The city’s first Snap the Park photo contest is ongoing through July 20. Winning photos will be announced Aug. 1 and showcased at the Boca Raton Spanish River Public Library Aug. 11 to Sept. 19.
