If you’re moving or house-hunting in south Florida during Easter and Passover, you’ll find ways to observe the holidays here.
“Easter is based on the lunar cycles of the Jewish calendar. In the Christian religion, the Last Supper (the final meal Jesus shared with his apostles before his crucifixion) was a Passover feast. Because Easter is based on a lunar month (which is 29.5 days), the date of Easter can vary,” according to the Farmer’s Almanac. “Easter’s date this year is Sunday, April 20, based on the Gregorian calendar. However, many Eastern Orthodox churches follow the Julian calendar rather than the Gregorian. In 2025, Eastern Orthodox Easter will also occur on Sunday, April 20 as the Julian calendar date converted to the Gregorian calendar.”

A search with your location and denomination, among them AME, Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, non-denominational and others will show the member churches in south Palm Beach and nearby south Martin and north Broward counties.
For instance, St. David Armenian Apostolic Church and St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church regional congregations are on what locals call Church Row in Boca Raton. Chinese Christian Chapel is in the western suburbs of Lake Worth.
Passover Observance in Palm Beach County
Palm Beach County has a large Jewish population, so there are temples and synagogues from reform to orthodox in every community.
“The first Passover seder in 2025 begins on the evening of Saturday, April 12, and the second begins on the following evening, April 13. Some Reform Jews in diaspora will end Passover on the evening of Saturday, April 19,” according to My Jewish Learning
Most temples and synagogues can only accommodate members and guests. But Chabads in east and west Boca Raton and Delray Beach are all having kosher seders with tickets available for adults and kids and deadlines to register.
