If Boca Raton is your locale of choice but you want to get around without a car, the city has grown up.
Boca/Connect just started a free/low-cost shared ride shuttle service already offered in Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth Beach and West Palm Beach/Palm Beach.
Now shoppers, diners, art museum and show goers can leave their vehicle behind to get around Mizner Park, Royal Palm Place and other BocaConnect downtown locations on their regular routes and close by.
After opening Brightline’s high-speed railroad station to connect Boca to Fort Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami to the south, and West Palm Beach and Orlando to the north, this is the city’s next step. City officials are determined to trade in vehicle traffic for foot traffic.
“This will move people easily to places of interest,” Boca city council member Fran Nachlas, who chairs the city’s downtown district, said at the recent BocaConnect ribbon cutting.
Here’s what riders need to know:
Requesting a Ride: Riders can request BocaConnect using the Circuit app, available on both iOS and Android platforms.

Hours of Service:
· Monday to Thursday: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
· Friday: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.
· Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.
· Sunday: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Service Area & Cost: Service area includes downtown Boca Raton, south of Glades Road, east of I-95, north of the Hillsboro Canal, and west of NE 5th Way/SE 5th Avenue/Royal Palm Way. Rides within the RED service area on the Base Service Area Map are FREE. Rides in the BLUE service area are $2 per rider, with an additional $1 per rider, capped at $5 per one-way trip.
Wait times: Expected to be 10 minutes or less.
