Talk about getting their hands dirty. Thirty-five Lang Realty agents and staff and Lang Management associates teamed up for a Community Volunteer Day to help Tri County Animal Rescue lay sod in the heat of a Saturday morning.

An army of Lang volunteers rolled up their sleeves to lay piles of sod at a dog run on Tri County’s west Boca Raton campus. Starting at 8 a.m., by 10 a.m. all the Lang T-shirts were dirty and so were the volunteers’ forearms. They considered that the mark of a job well done.

In addition to installing Bahia sod to restore the turf at the shelter, generously donated by one of Lang Management’s contractors M. B. Gardening Services, LLC, volunteers helped socialize newly welcomed rescues. They also presented donations of dog supplies to Tri County Animal Rescue that both companies collected from May through mid-July.

“We were in need of refurbishment of our dog runs. Lang Realty and Lang Management heard us and immediately went into action. The group was able to secure donated sod from Montenegro Brothers Gardening Services. Last Saturday, over 30 volunteers from both Lang companies spent the morning physically laying the sod. This effort would have been so costly for Tri County, both in materials and labor. The new runs will have a positive impact on our dogs!” said Tri County Animal Rescue executive director and co-founder Suzi Goldsmith.

Lang Realty’s community outreach initiative, Lang Cares, spearheads endeavors to support local nonprofits, charities and individuals with limited resources. Through Lang Cares, Lang Realty encourages its agents to make a positive impact through donations, volunteer work, and other contributions.

Tri County Animal Rescue is a 100% no-kill, nonprofit animal rescue center that to date has rescued more than 90,000 animals in distress that are given the opportunity to live the rest of their lives as treasured pets.
