We live in a tech-focused world. Technology has created tools for all of us whether “friending” on Facebook, “tweeting” on Twitter, or “blogging”. Four out of five Americans use social technology. In fact, more than 80% of today’s home buyers surf the internet or search for that special home on Social Media channels.
Facebook has more than 350 million users, and more than 50 percent log on to Facebook at least once a day. The fastest growing demographic of Facebook is the 35+ age group. Additionally, Facebook has a wide range of demographics, which means, most likely, your target audience is participating. Given these facts, it’s time to ask your Realtor® if he or she is up to speed on Social Media.
Realizing the importance of social technology within real estate, Lang Realty recently held a Social Media Workshop. Close to 100 Agents learned about social networking websites and explored how Social Networking can attract more Buyers to their listings. Social networking increases exposure of listings. All participants received a Facebook for Realtors Workbook.
Often people may find the concept of an online social networking intimidating, but the applications and platforms are intuitive and easy to learn. Social Media is essential when looking to sell a property and identifying an Agent to assist you with your purchase or sale.
