You can still celebrate Halloween when you move to South Florida. In fact, it’s a major holiday here.
Retailers are already advertising indoor and outdoor Halloween décor and Halloween costumes for kids and grownups. There are even costume pop-up shops.
You’ll have plenty of places to wear them.

You can stay close to home if you have a trick or treater. Most private communities and public neighborhoods have specific hours for this door-to-door ritual. Just ask around. Parents always know where to take the kids for the best candy handouts.
South Florida Fair, west of West Palm Beach, turns Yesteryear Village into a ticketed “Spookyville” from Oct. 18 through 31 “where kids can trick-or-treat every night.”
Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch Festival has three ticketed sessions from Oct. 19 and 20 in the city’s outdoor amphitheater in Mizner Park.

Jupiter’s PumpkinTown Festival opens seasonally, starting the second weekend in October though Halloween. It’s open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For grownups, West Palm Beach has two Halloween theme bar crawls. There’s a cookie decorating class for kids in Wellington. The 6th annual Palm Beach Boo Bash is Oct. 4 at the Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens. These events are ticketed on the Eventbrite website.
