Palm Beach Gardens is in the center of a rapidly-developing area north of West palm Beach.  The city has an abundance of gated communities, but prior to the development the land was primarily cattle ranches and pine forests, as well as swampland.  In 1959, a wealthy man by the name of John D. MacArthur announced plans to develop 4,000 acres and build homes for over 55,000 people.  He chose the name Palm Beach Gardens after his initial choice of Palm Beach City was denied by the Florida Legislature, because of the similarity of the name to the nearby Palm Beach.  The city only existed on paper in 1959, and it's first resident was a squatter that MacArthur allowed to stay on his property in 1960.  As of 2006, the Unites States Census Bureau stated that the…

Yep, that is what I said, (or wrote!) Now, sales techniques are effective, and they have their place.....but what you really need are more relationships. When you have a relationship, a business or friendship relationship, you have a much better opportunity to derive 'business' from them. A relationship is natural or logical association with someone...a connection.

How about building up the connection with someone before you start handing out your business card and telling them that if they know of anyone doing anything in real estate, their friends, family, co-workers, pets, (just checking to see if you are reading all of this!!!)…
